It’s been 30 years since the nuclear disaster in the Ukrainian Chernobyl, a town with 50,000 inhabitants, has since than become a haven of spirits.
The city is now covered with trees, and the animals roam its streets that are built resistance to radiation or they are simply unaware of it. The area of the city and its surroundings are still prohibited for visitors, unless they get special approval.
However, thanks to the documentary film “Return to Chernobyl,” backed by the New York University Institute of Journalism “Arthur L. Carter” and “Frontline”, you can experience from your home how looks like to be in Chernobyl.
Video, which provides an experience of 360 degrees is probably not a substitute for a visit to this unique city on the planet, but it is certainly the least dangerous way.
